Shipping and Returns

Saffa Trading sources all of its items from local suppliers like Pick ‘n Pay, Checkers, Clicks, Woolworths and other local independent South African businesses.  We use 3 different shipping methods – DHL (Post Net), Airmail Post Office and Expedited Mail Services (EMS).  All of the goods that you buy online from our website are carefully hand-packed and bubbled wrapped and then shipped to arrive securely and safely at your destination wherever you are in world.

Delivery Times
As soon as an order has been completed on our website and payment has been received, we ship your package within two business days (48 hours). You can choose one of the following Shipping options:

DHL Courier – Top Courier Delivery Services – Send your package to 220 different countries (2 – 6 Business days depending on your destination and receiving countries customs)

Post Office Airmail – Send your package by Airmail to any country in the world (5 – 12 business days)

EMS (Expedited Mail Services) – Post Office Courier, a bit slower than normal couriers but a much more affordable option. ( 4 – 12 business days depending on destination and customs)

Delivery Costs
Shipping cost is determined by the volumetric weight of the products you have purchased and the shipping method of your choice. All shipping costs are added at the time you check out.  Please note that these shipping methods are only estimates as volumetric weight maybe more than the actual weight of the product.  We can only determine the actual cost after packing has been done, especially if combining various different products.  If this is the case extra cost may be incurred and passed over to the buyer.

Customs and Important Information
Please note – All international deliveries are subjected to the delivering countries custom laws for imports.  Before purchasing products from us, the onus is on you as the client to find out the import laws of the destination country.  If this is not done beforehand your package may held at customs indefinitely or it may be confiscated.  Please note that SAFFA TRADING will not be held responsible if the parcel considered to be contravening any import laws.

Track and Trace DHL Courier
After shipping your parcel via DHL Couriers we email you a tracking number and a tracking URL. You will be able to track and trace your parcel until it is delivered to your door.

Track and Trace EMS Courier
After shipping your parcel via EMS we will email you a tracking number and track and trace URL. You should be able to track and trace your parcel to your door or to local Post office if delivery attempt was made and there was nobody to receive.

Track and Trace Airmail
When we ship a parcel via Airmail we email you a tracking number and a tracking URL. You can use this tracking number to track the package’s progress until it gets to the destination country. At this stage customers can contact their local Post Office for an update on the package and even receive a local tracking number.

Unclaimed Parcels
If a parcel is not claimed by the owner, the parcel will be returned to Saffa Trading’s postal address, we will keep the items for 3 months before we dispose of it.  Please note no refunds will be given if this is case and a new order would have to be placed.  Unclaimed goods may be re-sent at the purchaser’s expense only and will incur a handling fee of R60 in addition to the shipping costs.

Saffa Trading Refunds Policy
All our products are selected with the greatest care by our employees and carefully packed before being sent off to our clients.  If you need to return or exchange any of your purchases kindly contact us within 5 business day of receiving your purchases.  Any return shipping costs will be for the client’s own account and goods must be in their original condition and sealed packaging in order to qualify for a refund or replacement of your order.  Shipping and handling fees are not refundable.
